Hatch with Me: One Breakfast spot at time

On this lovely weekend, I decided to try out a breakfast spot I stumbled upon while strolling through TikTok. Often, we succumb to the enticing food trends on the internet, tempting us with savory and scrumptious dishes, desserts, and drinks. However, it's hard to discern what's genuine when people are constantly chasing clickbait or being paid for false advertisements. It's your girl Dior, and you can count on me for an honest review. Afterall, I paid with my own hard-earned cash because I never want to steer my viewers wrong. My goal is to guide you to the best food that Miami has to offer.
A menu to Savor
Firstly, there menu is said to be a celebration of the classics. Mixed with some throwback cartoon favs like the Scooby-Doo French toast and the orange creamsicle pancake. These innovative dishes are something to rave about and in the right hands-on video and picture it will definitely get the viewers in. From fluffy pancakes and perfectly poached eggs to avocado toast and breakfast burritos, there's something for everyone, which I love! This brings me to the drinks, like the one in the above picture slightly cut off.
The Drinks
If I do say so myself that expresso Martini was better than any mimosa I ever had. Based off the size alone I was shocked but pleased with the buzz. The rich after taste of coffee beans was an added delight of flavor. I asked for a strong drink and that's what I got! Ten out of ten, I recommend this drink to get the brunch party started. Not a coffee person? Their fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies are a refreshing alternative, packed with vitamins to keep you energized and going.
The Food

I want to be clear the location is nice, the service was good, but the way the food was advertise on social media did not keep up to the standards I expected. With that in mind, I opted for the Country Breakfast Skillet, hoping to enjoy a variety of flavors. The dish featured cage-free eggs, sautéed onions, bell peppers, sausage, and cheese. Unfortunately, the cheese was overwhelming, so much so that I had to scrape it to the side to reach the eggs and other ingredients. To my disappointment, the food was bland and lacked proper seasoning. I even remarked to my partner that I could make this dish myself—and better!
On a brighter note, the Scooby-Doo French Toast was quite good! Although the bread was a bit dry, drenching it in syrup made it much tastier.
The Atmosphere
In the end, I really enjoyed the ambiance at Hatch. The vibrant colors of the restaurant evoked energetic and happy emotions, complemented by great natural light. The music selection was diverse and enjoyable for everyone. The location is perfect for tourists and conveniently accessible for locals. Dining was timely, the place was clean, and the staff was very pleasant.
I don't share this to put the establishment down, but to provide honest insights. With such a lucrative media platform like TikTok, anyone can access it and sometimes spread misleading information. While the service and location were a ten out of ten, on the foodie side of things, I give Hatch a shaky six. IHOP would have been a better option for my money's worth, even though Hatch makes for great pictures.
