I’ll admit, I was hesitant about trying brunch at Unit B, but I’m so glad I did! Thankfully, my partner loves taking me on new food adventures, which just happens to be my favorite hobby. Unit B Eatery & Spirits, located in the vibrant Pembroke Pines, Florida, is nestled in a lively shopping plaza that draws people from all walks of life. While the spot attracts a more mature crowd in the evenings, it still offers a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you can stroll, shop, and enjoy the sounds of live bands filling the air as you dine.

It’s the kind of place that surprises you with its charm, making it feel like a relaxed escape from the more traditional, stuffy brunch spots.

My partner and I decided to stick with our go-to favorites, curious to see if the flavors would live up to the vibe. I ordered my usual brunch special—steak and grits—while he went for shrimp and grits. The service was impeccable; our food arrived in perfect timing, and our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. The presentation of our plates was stunning.

Now, to be honest, and you know I always keep it real, I’ve had better steak and eggs. The steak was a bit dry and chewy at the same time, which was disappointing. After a bit, my French toast arrived, beautifully plated, but it wasn’t as moist as I’d hoped. The thickness of the bread made it a little dry, so I found myself dipping every bite into the syrup, which definitely helped.

As for my hubby's dish, it was excellent. The shrimp and grits were seasoned to perfection, and the shrimp itself tasted incredibly fresh, with none of that unpleasant saltwater aftertaste. They nailed it! We also ordered a mocktail, which tasted like freshly squeezed fruit straight from the Garden of Eden—yes, the fruit God said we could have! I was more than happy with his meal...because let’s be real, it became mine soon enough!

This is a bonus because you can choose to dine one place walk a bit and try other cuisines. you could also do what we did and walk a few steps into fresh bakeries for dessert.
